Well Friends ~
This is where it starts to get exciting :) Our jungle adventure will officially start tomorrow morning (Saturday) at 4am!!! Adam & I will be driving a truck (loaded with all of our belongings...along with some other peoples & a dog) over the Andes mountains & into the jungle town of Pucallpa!!! It is a two day drive in which I will finally get to see the country Adam grew up in!! I am so excited :)
The real fun begins when we get to Pucallpa....we will then get another truck (which I will have to drive!) down to the boat docks where we will load up the trucks onto a lancha (barge) and take a 7 day trip down the river to our new home....IQUITOS!
Isn't that just the craziest thing you have heard? We will be sleeping with about 300 other people...out in the open on hammocks - sharing 3 bathrooms!!!
I think we might make some memories :) We will try and email when we can --- but I am fairly certain that the barge has no internet!! But I will take good pictures for everyone & the next time you hear from us we will be in our new home!! We can't wait!! Talk to you in a couple of weeks!
