Thanksgiving with our small group in Quad 22 :)
Time is going by so quickly!!! We have been so blessed by the friends we have
made here at ILC (International Learning Center).
The lovely little place we are calling home!!
On Thanksgiving day everyone in our small group made their favorite Thanksgiving dish and we all celebrated together, it was so much fun!! It is quite amazing
what you can cook in those little ovens :)
But the food was great and amazingly enough we didn't set off any fire alarms...although we did loose our voices yelling over the ceiling fans :)
That night while we were watching a movie Danielle and Jana got a 'wild hair' and decided that we needed to go shopping at an outlet mall in Williamsburg, VA. It was an hour away but if you got to the Jockey store in your pajamas as one of the first
500 shoppers you got a free pair of pj's!! SO of course we had to give it a try.
Tina and I went with the two crazies and joined in the fun :) It was my first time to shop on Thanksgiving/Black Friday (or whatever it is called) I couldn't believe how many people were out!! They had police at all the intersections...
it was amazing that we didn't have to park a mile away...who knew!?
It was SO cold too & unfortunately....we weren't first :)
But we had fun and we shopped until 2am and then drove the hour home....we woke up at 6am and went on our all day trip to Washington DC!!!!
We had a really good time in DC though :) Even though we were sleepy. We toured the Basilica and ate at a really good Peruvian restaurant. PLUS we didn't get lost or mugged on the subway and we got Starbucks....twice!!! All in all it was a good day. Plus not having to be in meetings for a whole day was awesome :)
We are wrapping up our last weeks here and I will write again soon - but I just wanted to let you know how our holiday had gone. We hope the rest of you had a fabulous Thanksgiving!!
