The 5K....For Better or Worse

Here are pics of us after the race (Trinity is behind me in the first one!) Tim is standing next to Adam (Tina's husband) and Tina is in front of me in light pink) The rest are people in their region who came and ran as well!!

So I have good news...and I have bad news.

The good news is that Adam and I both ran the 5k race this past Saturday!! AND Adam ran it in 27 min and I did it in 30 min :) 

The bad news is that I ran so hard I threw my guts up....twice....yeah - it was hard core. I sprinted the last little bit....I guess I pushed myself too much, but I really wanted to be able to do it as fast as possible!! But ummm yeah, it definitely backfired :)

The even sadder news is that Adam didn't even see me finish....he had gone up on a hill to watch  me pass by, but I had sped up and was already past that point....then as I was throwing beside an air conditioner thingy - RIGHT BEHIND HIM - he was still completely oblivious....poor guy got an earful :)

Anyways - Sunday was a great day. We relaxed and enjoyed ourselves (we were pretty proud that we could just walk after the run!) We had Spanish worship in the evening and it was great. Although I will say that I was a bit stressed when I couldn't follow the paster at all....I kept trying to pick out words I knew....but the only two I could pick out were "cow and sunglasses" I asked Adam why he said that.....and he hadn't.... 

So needless to say, my Spanish tutor has her  work cut out for her!

Right now we are in language class....learning how to make weird sounds with our mouths.... I guess I should try and pay attention!!
