I know that I just wrote another post BUT I had to tell you about our worship service on Sunday night! (the mind reels that after a week and a half I write two posts in a matter of minutes....) ANYWAYS. On Sunday night we worshiped like the Africans - it was so FUN! I almost considered changing our country!! LOL.
So they had us all wear long skirts and loose fitting tops and we had to wear scarves on our head. We danced and sang in African and had to dance up to the offering plate, it was really exciting and so colorful! They did preach in a different language but they interpreted it and the dude preached using the storying method so it was really interesting.
The storying method is just that...telling the Bible in story format (which is what we will do in the jungle) After the story the preacher asked us questions, if we didn't answer them right or if we missed key points of the story then he said that he would have retold it, to make sure they understood. All in all it was a really good night of joyous worship!
And I forgot to mention the pictures :) The first one is of Tina and I with our heads wrapped like African women. The second is two of Tina and Tim's daughters Gracie Lynn and Eden. Below that their son Noah...well part of him anways...lol (they have another daughter named Trinity but she wasn't around for the photo shoot....maybe next time!)

2 posts!!! You have made me very happy. :)
OOOO! I am sorry I missed you and your lovely picture taking! Haha
Fun! We might just have to go to Africa some time to get that experience... former Sunday School class reunion (in Africa!) some time in the future? :)
It's awesome that you have such good friends there... not that you and Adam couldn't make friends wherever you go, but you know what I mean!
