February Fun :)

Now that we have internet – don’t you just love how we are updating our blog so often!!?! Amazingly enough, we do try to update it – it just never seems to work out! But here we are finally – thanks for remaining so patient and understanding. We TRULY are trying to keep you more informed on our lives!
Adam’s trip to the Huitoto went wonderfully! It was truly a trip ordained by God. Adam and a volunteer from California, Randy Griffin, headed down river from Estretcho (a city bordering Columbia and Peru) to check out the Huitoto communities.
The purpose of the trip was to investigate the Huitoto (find out if there were churches – what the communities were like – just general information on the people). It just so happened that there wasn’t a single church (some had a Catholic priest that would visit once a year) but that was all. The majority of the communities were very friendly and invited Adam and Randy to stay with them. They visited over 20 communities in 2 weeks!!
Randy was also a great encouragement and help to Adam (although I know he missed me tons!) They worked very well together and we hope to have more of his help (and the help of his church) later in our ministry.

Some things about the Huitoto that you can be excited about and be praying over:
· They want to here more about our beliefs!!!
· The head of the Huitoto wants to start building a fishpond (fish are becoming scarce as many use nets and over fish) it just so happens that Adam has been building to such ponds in our backyard!
· They also have lots of places to hunt and have access to lots of meat but no way to preserve it.
· They are very interested in more productive ways to farm. Also have a great need to get their produce up and down the river.

Our boss is currently in Ecuador heading up a training and so we have been unable to discuss all of these possibilities with him. Hopefully we will be able to do that before/when he returns. We are very excited about engaging the Huitoto and will keep you informed on our needs and ministry ideas!
Well before we go – I am sure you are DYING to know when we are going to have this precious baby girl!!! We are wondering too!! Sophia Grace is due TODAY – however, she is not feeling the urgency to come out quite yet. We are on pins and needles awaiting her arrival – we will definitely let you know as soon as she is born! It is crazy to think that the next time we write you all that there will be 3 of us!!!

As always – thanks SO much for your prayers and support. Please keep Jess and Sophia in your prayers this coming week and the Huitoto as we figure out a plan to engage them.
