Comiendo Pollo (Eating Chicken)

We thought that we would post a couple of video's this week and see how it worked!!! The first one is of our 'mom' cooking tortillas :) And the second....wait for it....is of me washing clothes! Good Times!!! Enjoy!
(Ok so actually the one of me washing clothes wouldn't post, but we are going to try and do it separately...if not we will make a shorter one for next week!)

FUNNY STORY FOR THE WEEK:

Well... You know how we have been saying that the food here is just super delish?! Well today… not so much. We sit down for lunch and what was handed to us was well…. the chicken that had been running around in our yard THIS MORNING. True story.

Now I will have to say that I never thought that would bother me but something about super fresh meat … fresh, like - it was alive when I was home 4 hours ago…. No bueno. Not only that but the poor chicken was really tough and chewy and here I am gnawing on its leg…tendons stringin down like spaghetti…. Somehow Adam and I swallowed it down… skin and all… but I will say that we were really hungry for dinner.

We were really excited when we walked in and they were making guacamole … they were getting out tortilla chips and I was just sure we were having nachos or something just as scrumptious…. You can see my disappointment when they took the lid off the pot and it was the remnants of lunch… I mean it was sketchy before…. Somehow we survived, mostly with lots of prayer and not much chewing…. At least the chicken is dead and gone and we are done with it, right?! …. Well, unfortunately we found out that they are buying another chicken…

Adam and I are doing really well and are settling into life here.  Thank you so much for your prayers! We went to church with our family this morning and it went really well. It was the first time I had been to a Catholic church, so it was really interesting. Please just pray that we will use our time wisely this week!!

Thanks & We Love You All!

That sounds so gross! Especially the spaghetti-like tendons part!
